On February 7th 2012 the world will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens, one of the greatest novelists ever to have lived.
Dickens works are revered the world over, and include such classics as:
The Pickwick Papers, Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickelby, The Old Curiosity Shop, A Christmas Carol, Great Expectations, David Copperfield, A Tale of Two Cities and many more.
As well as being a great author, Dickens was also a social commentator, often using the power of the pen to draw attention to poverty and corruption in Victorian England.
This DVD takes a look at the life of Charles Dickens, allowing the viewer to follow in his footsteps back to an age of romance, sentimentality and Victorian sensibility, coloured with larger than life characters that teach us all to laugh, cry and appreciate whatever hand in life fate might deal us.
