The Greatest Tractor Show On Earth Ever!
Cheffin’s Tractor Millennium, which we claim as the greatest tractor event ever to have been put together, was two and a half years in the making. Altogether 1958 tractors turned up, and if you include the models, then there were over 2,000 entrants. To commemorate the new millennium, enthusiasts from 23 countries turned up to view tractors, tractors, tractors. These include John Deere, Marshall, Fordson, Doe and Caterpillar, all taking part in the great dynamometer horsepower contest, which sees modern tractors going head to head with vintage machines. Now all can experience the thrills of that day.

The Greatest Tractor Show On Earth Is Back!
The greatest tractor show on earth is back. This event, Cheffin’s Tractor Millennium, spread over a whole weekend, and this programme records the Sunday events of that extraordinary rally when the world came together to celebrate the start of a new millennium and the farming vehicles that had helped us along the road to prosperity in the previous one. By the opening of the second day, it was clear to all taking part that they were involved in a spectacularly successful show.
We take the opportunity to have a closer look at some of the more unusual exhibits, and interview the owners of vehicles as early as the Cockshutt 1900 model. Other tractors examined in detail include the Rolo Croftmaster, the Northrop, and a 1922 Case tractor, fully restored. As the show draws to a close, there can be little doubt in the mind of any of the visitors that they have taken part in a truly unique event.

Model Traction Engines
The annual international steam up at Rode Bird Gardens in Bath has become one of the largest gatherings of scale model traction engines in England. This two-day event attracts an entry of over fifty of the most interesting and spectacular models. There are also many model steam trains running along the miniature railway that runs through the beautiful gardens. Many models have taken years of patient hard work to complete. We see them all from the smallest to the largest.
