30 Songs From and Inspired by Bioshock

Bioshock was a hit when it was released in 2007, along with it came an unusual soundtrack featuring music from the 1930's 40's and 50's as well as some classical pieces. The title track being "Beyond the Sea" by Bobby Darin was promenent in the TV advertsing campaign. To set the scene further, whilst the music is from the 30's 40's and 50's the music is suitably played at times throughout the game on phonographs- an old fashioned music player also known as a gramophone.

Inspired by the big bands of the 1940's. Although none of the tracks are featured in the games completely original score. This sweeping soundtrack accompanies the thriller video game that is L.A Noire rather well. The original official soundtracks are full of 1940s jazz and blues music, whereas this soundtrack includes artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Jordan, Dinah Shore, The Andrews Sisters and many more.

Featuring swing and country music, timless songs from the 50s and 60's with the odd classical track thrown in, this playlist covers genres for all ages and takes your mind right back to the game. A lot of these tracks play through your pip-boy radio as you venture through the Mohave desert whilst making your way to Las Vegas. Fallout's main influences are those of the 50s, explaining the choice of 50s music for the soundtrack and scenes visited throughout the games.
