Another in Delta’s acclaimed Inspirations series focuses on the original songs by the original artists who inspired the Beatles and, indeed, many of the songs that subsequently became more popular as a result of the Beatles’ versions than they otherwise would have, had they not been covered by the Fab Four. This brand new collection shows the depth of the Beatles’ early obsession with the best music they could lay their hands on, located, as they were, in the perfect place to pick up the rarest and most sought-after records coming in to the port of Liverpool in the late-50s.

Inspirations - Borrowed By Bob Dylan

Available to order now from www.deltamusic.co.uk and www.amazon.co.uk

As a devotee of the earliest blues and folk music, Bob Dylan honed his craft by absorbing all of the classics of those genres on which he could lay his hands. In his pre-internet era, that was no mean feat, with records of incredible rarity that were very difficult to find changing hands for what must have been relatively enormous sums at the time. Perhaps we forget how easy it is now as we have access to virtually any recording at the click of a mouse.
