Olivia Colman Wins Two Bafta Television Awards

Olivia Colman unexpected win of two BAFTA Television Awards

Olivia Colman continued her year of exceptional success as she unpredictably took home two BAFTA television awards for best female in a comedy and best supporting actress for her roles in Twenty Twelve and Accused. On the collection of best female in a comedy, Twenty Twelve co-star Hugh Bonneville described Olivia as the ‘Dame Judi Dench of our generation’. This is the latest in a string of compliments this year, as she was addressed just last week as ‘irritatingly perfect’ by colleague David Tennant.

The actress has gone from strength to strength since her breakthrough role in the film ‘Tyrannosaur’ and the hit series ‘Broadchurch’. In a continuation of her success in ‘Broadchurch’, ‘Twenty Twelve’ and ‘Accused’, Olivia Colman starred in the 2012 Channel 4 drama ‘Run’, said to be shown around summer time this year.
